Our premium Red Western Cedar Planks originate from the Coastal Region of British Columbia and are manufactured on Vancouver Island. Special care has been taken in selecting the wood which are hand milled, kiln dried, planed and sanded to create a gourmet quality cooking product. Cooking with Western Red Cedar has been a tradition on the west coast of British Columbia for a very long time, and gives your fish, seafood, and other proteins a smokey-savory cedar infused flavor.
Our Western Red Cedar Planks are simple to use, follow 4 easy steps to create a unique and flavourful dining experience. Soak, heat, smoke and eat - that's all it takes. Soak your plank in water for at least 2 hours. Once your BBQ is hot, place the plank on one side of the grill and turn the heat down on that side. The plank will start to crackle and smoke and you simply cook your seafood right on the smoking plank. Perfect with other protein, our planks can also be used in the oven. For a stronger infused flavour, remove the skin from your seafood before cooking.
