Wild Gitanyow Sockeye Salmon

Quick Information:

  • 1 x 142 g (5 oz) - Wild Gitanyow Sockeye Salmon, Boneless (Sake)

What is Sockeye Salmon?

Sockeye Salmon has the reddest flesh of any of the 5 species of wild salmon caught off the west coast of Canada and Alaska. Prized for its firm texture and rich flavour, it is the most popular wild salmon species because it tastes great and retains its beautiful red colour even after cooking. Organic Ocean Sockeye Salmon is high in heart-healthy omega-3s which lower your chance of heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer's disease and some types of cancer. It’s also one of the best sources of Vitamin B12.

For this journey, we handpicked the finest ingredients. Prepare yourself for a seafood delight with our ultra-premium wild Gitanyow sockeye, carefully selected for its unmatched richness and succulence. Special addition, this sockeye salmon portion is filleted, bones removed and then portioned into 5 oz individual portions making it perfect for preparing sashimi.

How to Prepare Sashimi Quality Fish & Seafood

For best results, remove the seafood from the vacuum pack and thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Leaving nothing to chance, we asked Chefs Clark and Bond to demonstrate how you can transform this amazing fish and seafood into fantastic sashimi using only a sharp knife, a cutting board, soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.

Sashimi quality fish and seafood from Organic Ocean are more than marketing buzzwords. It means we follow the guidelines for fish and seafood that are meant for raw consumption established by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
