Our wild shrimp burgers are handmade from chopped shrimp meat - not ground meat and have 4 simple ingredients: blue shrimp, black pepper, garlic and olive oil. They are all natural, chemical free and gluten free. The shrimp used in the patties come from day-boats - small vessels using an artisanal technique that uses the wind and tide to drift a highly selective net called suripera. This technique has the lowest bycatch and fuel consumption per pound in the world.
These shrimp burger patties are best cooked from thawed state. To thaw, place the sealed bag in the refrigerator overnight for optimum results. Preheat one teaspoon of cooking oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Cook thawed shrimp patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side. When cooking from frozen, place the burgers at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes before cooking. Follow the same cooking instructions as thawed but cook the frozen for 5 minutes on each side.
