The Organic Ocean "Make Better than Okay Poke," hawaiian style poke pack is for the serious poke lover! This pack contains approximately 16 servings of our best wild albacore tuna that's already been cubed for you. Our tuna is sashimi and sushi quality, meaning we follow strict guidelines to ensure maximum safety when consumed raw.
Preparing our tuna poke is a breeze. We suggest removing the tuna from its sealed packaging and letting it slowly thaw in your fridge. Once thawed, our wild Haidacore™ Tuna is best enjoyed raw. Place the partially defrosted cubed tuna, poke marinade, green onions and sesame seeds in a non-reactive bowl, Toss gently until the tuna is completely coated with marinade but keep in mind, a little goes a long way. Let it rest in the refrigerator for two hours but if you want the poke to be ready in 30 minutes to an hour, cut the tempered tuna into smaller cubes.
For those that prefer their tuna cooked, quickly sear the marinated tuna on the grill or in a hot pan. Serve on rice crackers, lettuce leaves, or crispy nori as hors d’oeuvre or with a light green salad as an appetizer. For a main meal, serve the tuna poke with sushi rice and textural vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, radishes, sprouts, nuts and seaweed.
